Sri Lanka's National Police Commission to strengthen ties between the public and police

Mar 01, Colombo: The National Police Commission established to assure the independence of the Police Service has commenced work and Presidential Counsel Senaka Walgampaya assumed duties today as the Chairman of the Commission.
Speaking at the inaugural session of the Commission in Colombo Thursday, the Chairman said the Commission was reinstated to create a peaceful and a law abiding society and it will work to strengthen the ties between the public and the police service.Read more...
