Kazakhstan invited Sri Lanka to CICA

Kazakhstan invited Sri Lanka to the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA). The invitation was made by Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev during his meeting with President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa, Tengrinews.kz reports.
"We have agreed to cooperate under thr SCO and other organizations. I have asked Sri Lanka to be an acting member of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA)," Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
"I am glad to say that Sri Lanka made a decision to achieve the observer's status in CICA in order to start a closer cooperation in this format for enhancement of interaction of Asian countries," Mahinda Rajapaksa said.
Besides, Kazakhstan and Sri Lanka are planning to sign an agreement on visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic and official passports. Finishing the meeting, Mahinda Rajapaksa invited Nursultan Nazarbayev to visit Sri Lanka.
