President
of the Janata Party of India, Dr. Subramanian Swamy today held a meeting with
the Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
Swamy’s
meeting with Rajapaksa comes amidst the ongoing protests launched in various
forms by certain pro-LTTE elements in India against the Sri Lankan government.
Defense
Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and the Secretarty to the Ministry of External
Affairs Karunatilaka Amunugama were also present at the occasion.
The
meeting took place the Temple Trees in Colombo.
Dr.
Swamy is a Harvard educated economist and is known as a anti-corruption
crusader in India.
